Features of SYIAE

• Only aeronautical university in the northeast of

Aeronautical Engineering

• It specializes in the designing, manufacturing,
  maintenance, development, testing and operation
  of both commercial and military aircraft and
  their components. It mainly includes the
  following four areas Aircraft Design, Aircraft
  Manufacturing, Aircraft Power, and Aircraft
  Environment Life Protection System.

• Aircraft design
• It aims at training advanced engineering and
  technical talents with the basic knowledge in
  general design of aircraft, aircraft structural
  strength and analysis, aero dynamics.

• Aircraft manufacturing
• Manufacturing all the parts of the aircraft
  and assemble them into the structural components,
  and total body of aircraft. Along with the error
  diagnosis and maintenance of the aircraft.

• Aircraft Power Engineering
• It aims at training advanced engineering and
  technical talents with the knowledge of aircraft
  power device or power device control system. It
  includes the design, test and manufacturing
  technology of aero engines.

• Aircraft Environment
• Life Protection System
• It aims to train advanced engineering and
  technical talents with the basic knowledge in
  flight vehicle environment and life protection,
  in refrigeration and air-conditioning technology.

American Cessna L162 produced in Shenyang (July
2009)

• Shenyang Aircraft Industry Company (SAIC)
  will test fly a model plane from its assembly
  line within this year in cooperation with
  American Cessna Aircraft Company.
• The L162 has two seats and a normal cruising
  range of 722 kilometers, and costs about 111,500
  U.S. dollars.
• The plane is under assembling and the
  manufacturer so far has received 1,100 orders
  worldwide, according to Mike Shih, Cessna's chief
  director in China.
