    Citizenship Education
  • Phase 1 Compilation of sample of practices in
    33 countries? 129 identified
  • Phase 2 further examination of a smaller sample
    ? 57 short-listed
  • Phase 3 In-depth analysis ? 10 case studies
  • To suggest what is the common understanding of
    Active Citizenship and how it is being taught
  • To analyse repeated patterns what works and
    what doesnt and WHY?

  • A list with basic information on 129 practices
  • A compendium with information on 57 practices
    (can be made web-based and with a search
    function)
  • 10 Case study articles
  • An analysis of trends and patterns what works
    and what doesnt
  • A reflection note on what Active Citizenship
    means in different contexts
  • Recommendations for practitioners and other
    stakeholders on how to make Active Citizenship
    education successful
