About Homework

Home Study
  • Every Monday an envelope will go home with
    assignments for the week.
  • Included in the envelope will be four leveled
    borrowed books.
  • (unreturned borrowed books are 5.00.)

When is Home Study Due?
  • Assignments should be completed daily.
  • Return the folder and borrowed books with your
    signature on the following Friday.
  • Friday!

The ABCs of First Grade
  • Absences should be reported to the office by note
    or phone call.
  • Birthdays may be shared in the classroom. Donated
    favorite books are appreciated. Please, do not
    send sweet treats.

  • Coats and backpacks should be labeled with your
    childs name.
  • Discipline is an important component to our
    program
  • Everyday it is important to eat a good breakfast
    before coming to school.

  • Fund raisers will be held for field trips and
    class celebrations.
  • Guest speakers are encouraged and welcome!
  • Homework will be given on a weekly basis.

  • Independence will be fostered by allowing your
    child to do for him/herself whenever possible.
  • Just a reminderno open toed shoes!
  • Kindness, a positive attitude, trying your best,
    and a sense of community are themes in our
    classroom.

    Room.
  • Money for special occasions should be sent to
    school in a labeled envelope.
  • Nightly reading is a must for successful progress.

  • Phonics and Phonemic Awareness are an integral
    component to our program.
  • Questions and concerns should be brought to my
    attention immediately.

    our day!

  • Tardy students must report to the office before
    coming into the classroom.

    toys and games).
  • Volunteers are encouraged and appreciated!
  • Weekly papers and letters will be sent home in
    the Monday Homework Envelopes.

  • X-tra help at home in all subject areas is
    appreciated!
  • Younger siblings should be left at home during
    field trips, volunteer time and class
    celebrations.
  • Zipping, tying, snapping and buttoning are all
    skills that should be practiced and learned at
    home.
