    Pupils to categorise a list of autobiographies

  • Hand out and discuss the grade criteria in
    pupil-friendly language for analyse/review/comment
    task
  • Set independent learning task to read an
    autobiography of their choice in three weeks.

Lessons Five and Six Assessment for Learning
  • Focus on Speaking and Listening skills and their
    increased weighting on the GCSE course
  • Pupils have prepared a two-minute PowerPoint
    presentation on their autobiography
  • Peers evaluate the content using their
    guidance-grid they also set a target for
    improvement
  • Pupils feed back targets to speaker, who uses
    this as a guide to their written task
