Maneuver Enhancement Brigade

Security Operations in either open, mixed or
urban terrain against regular or irregular forces

conduct full spectrum operations all within an
inherent Command and Control (Contains 9 of 10

BCTs TAA BCTs are directed force not at play
in TAA. QDR directed 28 BCTs in ARNG as part of
70 BCTs in Army HLD/HLS TAGs state BCTs most
essential capability to provide the initial
response to incidents of national significance
and other requirements for Defense Support for
Civil Authorities (DSCA)
Mission Enables, enhances, and protects the
operational and tactical freedom of action of the
supported force. Augments maneuver and support
brigades with functional assets enhances force
application, protection, and focused logistics
across multiple areas of operation and can
provide a headquarters to command and control an
assigned area of operations including maneuver
forces. Capabilities HQs, Sig Co, and Support
Battalion perform simultaneous security and
functional missions within an assigned AO Unit
may fight as infantry under direction of
appropriate authority or when required by
tactical situation in support of Tactical Combat
Force (TCF) operations, or is required to augment
supporting units that are designated to fight as
infantry such as Military Police (MP), Engineer
or Chemical units as assigned or attached under
the direction of the Division/Corps Commander.
