6Government is looking for evidence
- A Model of Individual Budgets that can be rolled
out nationally - To demonstrate whether the IB approach can
deliver higher quality support within existing
resources - A substantial evaluation is in place involving 3
leading academic institutions working together.
The aim is for one of the first randomised
control trials in social care
7Implementation
- Pilot sites are being supported by the Care
Services Improvement Partnership. - The Self Directed Support Network - a White
Paper commitment, Linking In Control, the
Direct Payments take-up campaign and Individual
Budgets. - Ensuring linkage to the Care Services Efficiency
Delivery programme
