Concept of Rural distributors
  • Rural distributors will work on exclusive basis.
    They can not sale competitors products.
  • They will be served existing franchisee of that
    area.
  • Rural distributors will be assigned area of 4-5
    BTS sites.
  • The territory of Rural distributor will be
    designed in such a manner that maximum distance
    to be served by Rural distributor is less than 15
    Km.
  • Retailer / POS are managed by Rural distributors.

Concept of Rural distributors
  • Rural distributors must be residents of one of
    big villages of the area which they are serving.
    So they have good knowledge of local conditions
    and local market. They are able to push the
    product deep into the market due to their
    personal relations with local people.
  • Rural distributors directly serve the market.
    Their earning from this business is in the range
    of Rs 15000 to 20000.

Service to Rural distributor
  • RDS will be served by super distributor
    (Franchisee) at his doorstep.
  • If super distributor do not serve the RDS
    properly than RDS will be served by BSNL
    directly. SSA head will make suitable arrangement
    for material delivery to RDS is such case at his
    doorstep.
  • Super distributor will collect all CAFs from RDS
    and will provide him SIM as well as recharge
    coupon.
  • RDS will make payment at the time of delivery of
    stock. However, he should make the requisition to
    super distributor two days in advance.
    Representative of super distributor will deliver
    the stock at his doorstep.

Eligibility
  • Educational qualification 10th passed
  • Experience of distribution of FMCG products like
    blades, soaps, toothpaste, matchsticks etc in
    last one year
  • Preferably resident of same territory
  • Two wheeler vehicle driving license and
    registration of at least one two wheeler in own
    name.

Selection
  • Selection by a committee comprising of DE, AO and
    SDE level officers of SSA.
  • Committee will take interview of all the
    short-listed candidates. Committee will judge
    level of involvement of candidate, understanding
    of distribution, and telecom market in the area.
  • Preference be given to a person who does not have
    many sources of income and his success will
    depend on success of BSNL sale. Further, he
    should have appropriate financial strength to
    carry out the job (neither very high nor very
    low) and good understanding of distribution
    business.
  • Selection to be approved by SSA head.
  • Successful candidate required to submit PBG of Rs
    10000
  • Selection criteria
  • Experience 50 marks
  • Presentation/ Interview 50 marks
