Introductions
  • Reintroduce yourself to me, please.
  • Tell me your name, school at which you teach, AND
    something you feel is important about you that I
    should know.

  • Read about the style that is your majority
    learning agree or disagree?

Scavenger Hunt
  • Look at your Scavenger Hunt.
  • What stood out for you as you completed it?
  • What did you learn from this?

  • You need to take your original Reflection Sheet.
    Make 2 copies one for your mentor and one for
    the lead mentor.
  • Send one of the copies to your lead mentor before
    the due date.
  • The lead mentor will then make a copy for me.

  • Lets look at pages 8-15 in your binder.
  • You have 2 recording sheets to script the 2
    teachers chosen by your mentor.
  • You are only looking at the Domain B criteria.

  • When you are finished with your observation,
    write a paragraph describing what you saw in each
    criteria for that teacher.
  • Upon completion of the observations by you and
    the one your mentor did, fill in your Reflection
    Sheet.

    saw and heard when you were observing.
  • Discuss your strengths and weaknesses of the B
    Domain.

  • Active Speaking and Listening
  • As student is speaking, simply listen without
    agreeing or disagreeing. Be neutral in your
    behavior.
  • When student is finished say, I think I
    understand how you feel and what youre thinking.
    (paraphrase) What else is bothering you?
  • Let the student continue speaking. Continue the
    process until the student has calmed down.

  • Take your Domain B Recording Sheets
  • Script at least 2-3 items/criteria
  • Verbatim quotes are best
  • No judgments please!

  • NO SCORING of Domain B
  • Bring your binder to the October meeting. The
    meeting will then focus on Domain C.
