performances by four skaters from the Columbia
Figure Skating Club who competed at Junior
Nationals this year Presented by The Columbia
Figure Skating Club GIRL SCOUT PROGRAM after
the show We are inviting Girl Scout troops to
attend our 500 P.M. Spring Ice Skating show on
Saturday April 5. Following the show there will
be a program for the Girl Scouts that will have
activities to help earn The Sports Sampler Junior
Girl Scout Badge or the Dancercize and Sports and
Games Brownie Girl Scout Try-it Badges Date
Saturday April 5, 2008 Show Time 500-630 P.M.

after purchasing tickets from the Columbia Ice
Rink, please email Kathryn.Kamo_at_ars.usda.gov or
call Kathy Kamo (410-964-6470). If you do not
register your troop for the activity, we will NOT
have a packet of Girl Scout information for you!
After the show, the Girl Scouts will move through
a demonstration of jumps/spins and have an
opportunity to meet the skaters. The Girl Scouts
will learn about the equipment required for
skating, training programs, techniques in
skating, off-ice exercises, warm up, and skating
safety. At the end of the program, each Girl
Scout will receive a certificate of completion
and a skate one/get one free pass for a public
skating session.
