2General Aims and Objectives of the main
Workshops ??????? ??????? ?????? ?????
- The workshop training programme below is 4-day
CPD programme consisting of various sessions. The
whole programme is designed on need assessment
and aims to provide a wide range of developmental
opportunities to research students, trainees and
professionals working in police and security
settings, including staff working in Human
Resources, Planning, Management, Health and
Safety Sectors. The hope therefore is to update
professional trainees working in various settings
with new knowledge, information and skills
related to their fields and professions. This is
mainly to maintain excellent performance
(practice) and benefit all service users. And
indeed, achieve targets set by individual
organizations and by professional bodies and/or

3Other aims of this programme are to
- Ensure trainees to keep their skills and
knowledge up-to-date throughout their careers. - Develop an understanding of the relevant
theoretical framework and its application to
their work settings. - Be able to reflect on their own work in terms of
the role and function the trainee has within
their organisation and agency. - Develop the capacity to make assessment on the
relation between theory and work settings.

Disasters Workshop
- To develop an effective service plan to meet the
the demands of survivors of major man-made or
natural disasters. - ?????? ??? ?????? ?????? ??????? ????? ???????
???????? - To familiarise professionals working in emergency
settings with the major needs of individuals who
have survived major disasters. - ????? ????? ??????? ???? ????? ??????? ??????????
????? ??????? - To develop skills in identifying current mental
health needs/problems of victims and/or survivors
of disasters who may have been exposed to
violence, major life-threatening events or
near-death experiences. - ????? ????? ??????? ???? ??????? ???????
????????? ?? ??? ????? - To provide a hands-on experience in assessment
and possible intervention programmes for a wide
range of professionals working in emergency and
trauma settings including police, fire fighters,
mental health professionals, nurses, physicians,
medical practitioners and other paramedic staff.

- To familiarise the participants with the current
developments in diagnostic and therapeutic
approaches to trauma, PTSD and other psychiatric
conditions, related to both survivors and
professionals working in demanding emergency

??????? ????????? ????? ??????? ?? ??????? - To develop a road map for promoting mental health
and well-being for many professionals working in
emergency and trauma settings who have already
been exposed to severe disasters, and hence help
them to avoid becoming victims of secondary

a wide range of trainees, research students and
professionals working in police, legal, and
health and safety settings including HR staff,
organisation and management services. - The human survival, safety and emergency
management workshop should attract various
services including accident and emergency teams,
army personnel, police officers, fire-fighters,
researchers, psychologists, counsellors, social
workers, psychiatrists, mental health
professionals, staff of humanitarian agencies,
including staff of Red Crescent, and other people
who may be involved in relief efforts and care

- Delegate fees
- The registration fee is 800 per person attending
the entire programme (four workshops). Those who
opt for two workshops are required to pay 500.
Registered trainees are entitled to receive all
the delivered material relevant to the attended
workshop, a certificate of attendance, beverages
and a daily lunch. Accommodation for trainees
can be arranged for an extra cost of 150 per
room per night with breakfast. - Confirmation
- Written confirmation will be forwarded with venue
and other details upon receipt of payment. We
regret that we are unable to accept or confirm
bookings over the phone. - Payment
- All fees are due with the booking form. Cheques
should be made payable to - Credit card payment is acceptable by
Mastercard/VISA/Switch. A receipt will be issued.
Please note that we cannot invoice. - Cancellations Substitution
- No refunds can be given after the registration
fee is received. Substitute delegates are welcome
at no extra cost as long as we are notified
