33The Complete 4MAT System
34 4MAT as a Tool for Learning
McCarthy has incorporated the model below and
credits Dr. Rick Sheets with this explanation.
35 Implications for Learning
What can help the learner succeed?
1's--understanding the purpose or the big
picture. 2's--understanding the logic, order, or
sequence of the concepts or ideas. 3's--practicin
g and even creating some of their own problems or
applications. 4's--sharing how they will use
this concept.
36 Applying 4MAT
37- The whole point of the 4MAT System is to better
understand learning preferences and, in doing so,
to honor, and celebrate those differences.
