  • 200 hours
  • Lectures 14 hours
  • Workshops 28 hours
  • Private study/practical work 158 hours
  • Note This module is concerned with games and
    game playing.
  • To create a successful video game you must
    understand how video games work.
  • You are required to play and analyse a wide
    variety of games.
  • This should constitute part of your 158 hours
    self study.
  • I dont play games is not a phrase that is
acceptable on this module - you must play games
    for the next 14 weeks.

6
Ethical Commitments
  • We encourage you to learn from each other in
    small groups
  • but your assessed coursework must be 100 you
    own work.
  • Copying, colluding, etc. is plagiarism, and a
serious offence (and we will be watching out for
    it).

7
Referencing
  • As this is a creative module, it is often the
case that you may wish to use work from outside
    sources to strengthen your assessments.
  • This is permitted, but only if all work not
created by you (and you alone) is fully and
    correctly referenced.
  • This means a bibliography, and also a clear
indication at the point where the material is
    used.
  • Failure to adhere to these conditions is
    plagiarism and is not acceptable.
  • For more details, get the LRC leaflet (or do a
    web search) on Harvard referencing.
