Pilgrimage to Mecca
Aim- To gain an understanding of how it may feel
to carry out hajj.
Starter- List five different things that you have
learnt about pilgrimage. It could be to do with
Lourdes, Amritsar or Hajj.

What Happens?

• Day One- wash, dress in white cloth (ihram), walk
  around the Kabah 7 times and running between Safa
  and Marwah.
• Day Two- pray at Mount Arafat (Mount of Mercy).
• Day Three- Mina, throwing stones at the devil.
  Eid Ul Adha begins (sacrifice).
• Female pilgrims cut off a lock of hair.
• Final Day- Return to Mecca and walk around the
  Kabah 7 times. This is the end of Hajj.
