JPO Functions

• Plan, manage and coordinate the wartime theater
  receipt, storage, and distribution of petroleum
  products.
• Collects and validates Bulk Petroleum War Reserve
  Requirements (BPWRR) from all components.
• Coordinates POL operations among services.
• Monitor theater-wide petroleum inventory levels
  to ensure adequate stocks are available to
  support all applicable OPLANs.
• Writes POL portions of all plans.
• Builds POL Time Phased Force Depoloyment Data
  (TPFDD).

• USPACOM link to DESC.
• Control theater BPWRS.
• Authorize release of BPWRS in times of crisis.
• Develop input to Inventory Management Plan (IMP).
• Submit input to USPACOM Integrated Priority List
  (IPL).
• Lead on POL International Agreement (IA)
  discussions.
• Lead on POL Host Nation (HN) Support Agreements.
• Validate, prioritize and approve POL MILCON /
  MRE.
• In conjunction with J44 (Eng.), exercises overall
  control of the HN Funded Construction Program for
  POL.
• TLOC, DJTFAC, JLOTS (OPDS), IPRB, PERISC, CIP.
