- His divine power has given us everything we need
for life and godliness through our knowledge of
him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
4Through these he has given us his very great and
precious promises, so that through them you may
participate in the divine nature and escape the
corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

Growing Faith

4We VIGOROUSLY add to our Faith
- 2 Peter 15-7
- For this very reason, make every effort to add to
your faith goodness and to goodness, knowledge
6and to knowledge, self-control and to
self-control, perseverance and to perseverance,
godliness 7and to godliness, brotherly kindness
and to brotherly kindness, love.

- Goodness
- Moral excellence and goodness of character, an
excellent person in life

- Knowledge
- Spiritual knowledge in practical intelligence and
insight.
7We VIGOROUSLY add to our Faith
- Self-Control
- To master and control the body / flesh and its
passions.
8We VIGOROUSLY add to our Faith
- Perseverance
- An active steadfast endurance under pressure,
fortitude, constancy.
9We VIGOROUSLY add to our Faith
- Godliness
- Living in the reverence and awe of God conscious
of Gods presence.
10We VIGOROUSLY add to our Faith
- Brotherly Kindness
- Fervent practical caring for others.
11We VIGOROUSLY add to our Faith
- Love
- Agape love of God Selfless, unconditional and
demonstrated.
12Warnings signs of a Non-Growing Faith
- 2 Peter 18-9
- For if you possess these qualities in increasing
measure (Growth), they will keep you from being
ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of
our Lord Jesus Christ. 9But if anyone does not
have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has
forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past
sins.
13Warnings signs of a Non-Growing Faith
- Ineffective Inactive, lazy, slow, useless
- Unproductive Barren, unfruitful
- Nearsighted Cant distinguish things correctly
- Blind Spiritually mentally blind, cannot see
- Carnal Spiritually immature, worldly pursuits
14Signs and Blessings of a Growing Faith
- 2 Peter 110-11
- Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to
make your calling and election sure. For if you
do these things, you will never fall, 11and you
will receive a rich welcome into the eternal
kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
15Signs and Blessings of a Growing Faith
- Fruitfulness Outward fruit of an inward change
- Diligence An enthusiasm for Spiritual things
- Confidence Secure in Gods calling and election
- Stability Never stumble, or experience a
reversal - Glorious Future A personal, welcome home!

- they belong to Christ!

- Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new
creation old things have passed away behold,
all things have become new.
