1Joint Operational Fires Effects Course

2PURPOSE
JOFEC is designed to educate personnel from all
services, ABCA countries, and other government
agencies on the skills and processes necessary to
apply and generate joint lethal and non-lethal
fires and effects. Each student will gain a
baseline knowledge of joint and service fires
capabilities, platforms, operational environment,
doctrine, the joint targeting process and how the
joint fires and effects system operates. Â It
will prepare students to function effectively at
the Joint/Operational level in a full spectrum of
military operations. Their knowledge will be
exercised and validated through successive,
nested practical exercises in which they apply
the principles of joint lethal and non-lethal
fires and effects. This course focuses on Joint
Doctrine from planning to execution.
3SCOPE
Trains members of the joint fires and effects
team the skills required for the integration,
coordination and synchronized application
of the full range of joint fires and
effects (lethal and non-lethal).
4SPECIAL INFORMATION
This course is designed to satisfy the education
of leaders between brigade equivalent fires and
effects integration and the JTF. Security
Clearance Required SECRET.
5TARGET AUDIENCE
Selected officers (03 06), (CW02-CW05) and
selected senior NCOs (E-6 and above) serving or
slated to serve in fires and effects coordination
cells from Fires and Aviation brigades up to
Joint Task Force/Combatant Command level .
