environment. - Service members receive military salaries and
therefore are not compensated by the agency. - The program is open to the Active Duty, National
Guard, and Reserve components. - Hours and duration are flexible

17Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP)
- HR Officer annually sends out student recruitment
notifications to managers and supervisors, which
includes the WRP. - Regional Diversity and Civil Rights (DCR) offices
work with managers and supervisors to locate
students with a disability through the WRP for
summer hires and as a targeted recruitment source
for other vacancies. - Regional DCR offices use the WRP searchable
database to pull resumes.
18Employer Assistance Recruiting Network (EARN)
- Regional DCR staff work with EARN to develop
information on the needs of a particular job in
order to match potential applicants. - Regional DCR staff assists managers and
supervisors with posting jobs on the EARN
database.
19State Vocational Rehabilitation Centers
- Regional DCR staff establish rapport with
representatives at several locations within a
particular regional area - Conduct training or briefings at workshops
- Send vacancies to representatives receive
resumes - 90 days can be extended, NTE 26 weeks

- Look at what these managers are using to meet
their goals and to avoid extensive processing
time for hiring.
