Tobacco Control Programs Policies
  • Reduce youth smoking
  • Help adults quit
  • Reduce tobacco-related
  • morbidity and mortality
  • Reduce smoking-caused health costs

But we are under ATTACK
  • Our Programs are being decimated
  • Annual funding for tobacco prevention has been
    cut by 28, or 209 million, in past two years
  • Some of our longest standing and most successful
    programs have been virtually eliminated
  • Some of our most promising new programs have been
    drastically cut
  • CIA laws are being threatened around the country

  • We must constantly educate our communities about
    our work and its results
  • We need to help the media, the public, and
    policymakers understand our goals, activities,
    and accomplishments
  • We have to build and demonstrate a broad and
    ongoing base of support
