Title: Litchfield Workforce Center Demand Driven Presentation
1Litchfield Workforce Center Demand Driven
Presentation
2How will we change as we shift to a demand
driven system
3How will we change
- Create more of a universal service and dissolve
the focus on individual programs. - EXAMPLE If we create a relationship with the
employers the employer can contact an ES to
inform them of openings and not have to go
through other avenues. Dissolve the current
structure that ES are unable to talk to employers
and the stigma that only BSS/BRR are allowed to
have that contact.
4How will we change
- Change Nicholes position from Receptionist to
Career Facilitator. - She would focus more on the individual that walks
through the door and assist the individual to
find their skills and direct them to the Hot
Jobs. - Steps to take to get her to the point
- Attend Creative Job Search
- Attend the GCDF training
5How will we change
- Things she will do once in that position
- Give customers assessments when they come in to
determine how to better serve them - EXAMPLE Such as giving them a survey they can
complete Education / job history / etc. - Provide LMI information (contact Cameron)
- Update Hot Jobs board/computer/handouts
- Use Publisher and create newsletter
6Outcomes
- Create More of a Universal Service and dissolve
the focus on individual programs - Outcome This is something that will be
addressed and looked at closer by
managers/BRR/BSS. Need to establish who contacts
employers and communication needs to improve. - Change Nicholes Position from Receptionist to
Career Facilitator. - Outcome In the slides it did not touch on
additional tasks that could be done by a Career
Facilitator. Items that where listed in the
PowerPoint Nichole can already do and will just
need direction on how to provide these services.
A plan can be put in place to accomplish this.
If the Career Facilitator idea is still of
interest staff would need to list task that are
specific and show how the customers would receive
different services or how our services could be
more streamline.
7Identify Resources/Information (what services we
add or do differently)
WHAT
- Weekly short staff meetings (sharing of
information) This is scheduled now for every
Thursday.
8The Litchfield staff will plan to meet every
Thursday at 400 PM to discuss office
happenings/job opportunities/ customer needs/
program updates.
WHY

click on and send the application will be sent
via internet to that employer. If the employer
