Wetlands are water and land overlapping each
other.Wetlands are drenched in water for most of
the year.

Mississippi has marshes and swamps for wetlands.
3Benefits
1.Wetlands restrain water so that the water will
be clean,and the dirty things will be in the
wetlands. 2.Wetlands provide many fun things to
do like Bird watching,hiking,and other
things. 3.Wetlands also provide wood,food,and
other things.
4Destroying the wetlands
1.Dams that are built on rivers make the water go
away from wetlands,and make it dry
up. 2.household trash such as milk jugs,soda
rings,and many other things end up in the wet
lands wich are destroying them. 3.toxic things
travel with the water and soon end up in
wetlands. These toxins dry out plants,and do many
other bad things.

Hooded pitcher plants-they flower in spring!
Bald cypress-common in ponds,lakes,and swamps in
Florida

Swamp lily-Has six petals and is whit or
pink.
Salt grass-Important food source for many animals.

Egrets-large wading birds
Frog-when tad poles grow older they become
frogs.
