Starter Excel Battleships

• Lets test the knowledge you gained last lesson
  about cell references.
• Find the battleships using cell references, e.g.
  B1.
• There are 5 battleships to find.

By the end of this lesson

• All of you will be able to explain what the MIN,
  MAX and AVERAGE functions are.
• Most of you will use the above functions in a
  computer model.
• A few of you will add conditional formatting to
  your model.

The MyCinema model

• You are going to run a 7-screen cinema for a
  week.
• You will need to add up (SUM) all the ticket
  sales for each film.
• For each day you will need to work out the least
  popular film, most popular film and the average
  ticket sales.

• On Saturday which film sold the most tickets?
• On Tuesday which movie had the lowest ticket
  sales?
• At the end of the week which movies are doing
  better than the AVERAGE ticket sales?
• On which day were the most tickets sold for a
  particular movie?
• On which day were the least tickets sold for a
  particular movie?
• A new blockbuster film is coming out next week,
  which film should we get rid of to show it?
