- a House of Welcome a meeting and working place
for networks and initiatives which relate to the
cultural sector - a landing strip for those who need an occasional
place to work in Brussels - a meeting place with the cultural sector
- a physical embodiment of collaboration between
structures believing that arts and culture have a
fundamental role in society and a central role in
the process of European integration - a place for debate and encounter

- The EHfCs activities are proposed and created by
its partners.

The EHfC is initiated by the European Festivals
Association
- The EHfC ensures the Secretariat of the Access to
Culture Platform. - The EHfC is the legal seat of the A Soul for
Europe initiative and its Brussels Office. It
works together with the Offices in Berlin,
Amsterdam, Tbilisi, Belgrade and Porto.

- A civil society initiative which has at its heart
a Strategy Group composed of - 55 civil society actors
- from 21 countries
- from the areas of culture, politics, business,
research and media. - A Europe of the Europeans A unique co-operation
model between civil society and regional,
national, European institutions - We trust in the citizens of Europe that it is
possible to create a Europe of the Europeans - all fields of policy must develop a cultural
component

7- The European House and the INTERGROUP
- The Intergroup is A Soul for Europes bridge
between its cultural / social society grassroots
projects and the European level decision makers. - It aims to
- anchor culture as a vital element in all policy
areas - to actively integrate culture into parliamentary
work as an essential element of the European
project - to support the Commission in its endeavours of
bringing to life the European Agenda for Culture.
- Discourses on Europe hosted at the European
House for Culture - What can culture do for Europe? Who can answer
this question best? - Inviting high-ranking representatives of European
arts and culture to Brussels for a discussion
with leading EU-politicians about Europe, its
aims, chances and risks. - Our intention is to provoke a change of
perspective amongst top-ranking EU policy makers
by means conceptual stimulation from
non-political actors.
