- Accessing the Module Descriptor Form
2Introduction
- The Module Descriptor Form is designed to allow
Module Coordinators to view and edit their
modules online. - It will be available via UCD SISWeb from 11th
February 2009. - This document provides information how to access
the Module Descriptor Form in the Curriculum
Management System. -
3Accessing the Module Descriptor Form
On the UCD Homepage (www.ucd.ie) log into UCD
Connect.
Click on the Administrative Services tab. Single
sign-on to the SIS system is available through
the UCD SISWeb channel.
4Accessing the Module Descriptor Form
In SIS, click on the Curriculum Management tab.
5Module Descriptor Form
On the Dashboard (left hand side of the screen)
you will see various categories including Modules
Under Modules click on My Modules
to view and edit your modules.
6My Modules
In My Modules you will see the modules that you
coordinate. Information such as the Module ID,
Title, School, Credits, Semester etc. will be
displayed. This information will have been
carried over from the previous Academic Year.
7Troubleshooting
- Compatible Browsers
- PCs Internet Explorer, Firefox, Mozilla
- Macs Internet Explorer, Safari
(Mac users will need OS X) - Access to the Form
- Existing Module Coordinators will have automatic
access to their own modules. - Heads of School (or their nominee) assign new
Module Coordinators to their modules using the
Module List Management button in the Curriculum
Management System. - Members of staff, who do not have a Banner
account, will need to be set up initially on the
system, and should fill out the following form

- Login Difficulties
- For problems logging into UCD Connect contact
IT Services at helpdesk_at_ucd.ie - If you are experiencing difficulties accessing
SIS or you cant see the Curriculum Management
tab contact Business Support at
business.support_at_ucd.ie - Running or Printing Reports
- Reports can be run directly from the Curriculum
Management System through the Reporting tab or by
using Business Objects XI - Mac users should use Firefox or Camino as their
browser when running Business Objects reports.
