Program History
Begun by Department of Preventive Medicine in
1997 in response to success of its postdoctoral
program.The program has grown from two
graduates in 1999 to approximately 270 majors and
60 minors today.

Graduation Requirements
  • Upon completion of the major classes (66 total

    requirements, a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree
    will be granted in Health Promotion Disease
    Prevention Studies (128 total units).
