• Level 2 OCR National First Award in ICTsame
  size/level as 1 GCSE grade A-C
• Level 2 OCR National Award in ICTsame
  size/level as 2 GCSEs grades A-C
• Level 2 OCR National First Certificate in ICT
  same size/level as 3 GCSEs grades A-C
• Level 2 OCR National Certificate in ICT same
  size/level as 4 GCSEs A-C or GNVQ Intermediate.

OCR National First Award in ICT
You are starting the first level of the course
now in year 9. This is equivalent to a GCSE in
ICT. In order to complete the course you need to
complete two units.

• Unit 1 ICT for Business (compulsory)
• Unit 21 Creating computer graphics
• Or
• Unit 22 Creating sound using ICT
• Or
• Unit 23 Creating Video

To be completed in year 9
To be completed when you are in year 11

In order to complete the course you need to
complete every task to a PASS standard as
minimum. If you do not complete Unit 1 then it
will be impossible for you to gain the
qualification. If there is any part of the unit
that you leave out or forget to do in year 9
you will need to complete it in year 11 before
you start the second unit.

OCR National First Award in ICT
Throughout this year you will be asked to provide
evidence to prove that you have done certain
tasks. All of this evidence will be in the form
of screenshots and printouts. There are 6
assessment objectives (AOs) in Unit 1. These have
been split into 9 tasks that you need to
complete. If you complete all the PASS tasks
you should attempt the MERIT and DISTINCTION
tasks.

• If you work hard and complete every task in year
  9, when you reach year 11 you will be able to do
