PBCC PANTHER CARD

• Use your Student I.D. to
• Sign-In and Sign-Out of the Lab
• Print
• 10 per black and white page and
• 50 per color page
• Check out materials to use in the lab
• books, calculators, headphones, etc.
• Use the copier (black and white only)

LAB ASSISTANTS TUTORS

• Lab Assistants are available to help you, if
  assistance is required, please raise your hand or
  come to the front desk.
• Also we offer several Tutors with expertise in
• Accounting
• Anatomy and Physiology
• Chemistry
• Computer Programming Languages
• Micro Macro Economics
• In order to see one of our Tutors, you need to
  set an appointment at the front desk or call
  868-3799.
• Appointments can be set up at the front desk and
  can range from 30 to 60 minutes depending on
  subject.

Turn Off Cell phones

• Cell Phones are to be turned off or put on silent
  mode.
• Making or answering calls are not permitted
  inside the Lab.

FOOD AND DRINKS ARE NOT ALLOWED
SMOKING PERMITTED IN DESIGNATED AREAS ONLY

FORMAT AND SAVE

• We recommend that you format your disks in the
  lab before using them with our computers.
• Remember, it is important to save your file(s)
  periodically while you are working!
• Flash Drives are permitted as long as
  installation is not required.

DEEP FREEZE!!

• Deep Freeze software starts deleting information
  automatically once the computer is shut down or
  there is a power out.
• Anything you save as a student on the hard drive
  or desktop will be deleted.

NOT ALLOWED

• Chatting AOL, Instant/MSN Messenger, ICQ etc are
  not allowed.
• Pornography is not allowed.
• File Sharing programs such as Kazaa, Morpheus,
  WinMX are not to be used in the lab.
• Software installation is not allowed, even if it
  comes with the textbook.
• Children and minors are not allowed in the SLC
  Computer Lab.

ASK A LIBRARIAN!

• The only Live Chat that is allowed is the Ask a
  Librarian.
• It is a free online information service provided
  by Florida libraries. Real people in real time
  answer questions, help find information, or give
  direction to get what is needed.  
• The chat service is available Sunday through
  Friday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturday from
  10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time.

SCANNERS AND LAPTOPS

• Scanners are available at the multimedia stations
• Students need to ask permission before using a
  multimedia
• computer.
• Laptops are allowed in designated areas.
• Laptops are not allowed to be plugged
• into the Network or Electrical outlets.
