Association of America (NAA) and the Web Offset
Association / Printing Industries of America
(WOA/PIA) - Members include newspapers, commercial coldset
printers, suppliers, associations like NAA,
WOA/PIA, IdeAlliance, and Newspaper Production
Research Center (NPRC) - Membership is open to all interested newspaper
and commercial coldset printers plus suppliers,
associations, others. Customers, color
separators/prepress suppliers are invited as well - Meet two to four times per year
4SNAP Certificate Goals
- It is not subjective pretty picture contest but
instead an objective evaluation of a newspaper /
printers ability to print to SNAP - Help newspapers / commercial printers document
compliance of processes in achieving SNAP - Help newspapers / commercial printers achieve
SNAP compliance by providing objective feedback
about current performance - Collect industrywide data to support ANSI/ISO
standards development efforts - Provide newspapers / commercial printers with an
objective, third-party recognition which they can
share with customers and internal stakeholders - Enhance coldset industry awareness and
understanding of SNAP specifications
