2. Import stock data from a broker web page
Data has been imported successfully

3. Import stock data from a Microsoft Word file
or a text file
  • Click the Open File button to show the Open File
    dialog box.

2. Choose a stock data file to open, click Open.
The file can be a MS Word, a Text or an Excel csv
file used to save the result data.
3. In the popup Data Format dialog box, choose an
appropriate data format and click OK.
Data has been imported successfully
4. A small popup dialog displays the numbers of
imported data lines and unimported data lines.
Click OK.

4. Import stock data from a monthly statement on
paper
Run an OCR (Optical Character Recognition)
software, such as OmniPage Wizard, to scan a
statement on paper into computer and save it as a
Windows Word file, then import the Word file into
AutoScheduleD. See http//www.scansoft.com for
OCR details.

5. Calculate
1. Optionally check out the Set Sale Period
dialog in the Tool menu to change the sale
period, see Help for details.
2. Click the Calculate button to calculate the
data and get the result.

7. Export result Print out a ScheduleD form
Print
After calculating, enter Schedule D-1 sheet, and
type the appropriate data in the name and the
social security number text box. Click the Print
button to print out the Schedule D form.

8. Export data Save as a MS Excel text file
To save calculation result to a Microsoft Excel
Text file (.csv), Click the Save As button in the
File menu, and then type a file name and click
the Save button in the Save As dialog box.
When AutoScheduleD opens the file at next time,
it will not need you to choose the data format
again.

9. Export result Transfer result into another
software such as TurboTax

10. Create and edit a data format
The stock data from every broker has its special
data format. The format is saved in a data
format. You use Format Wizard to create and edit
a data format. See Help for details.
