- The Flotilla is made up of the following

10Meetings
- General meetings are held the first Tuesday of
the month at the Training Center from 1930 until
approx. 2030. - On-the-water-training (OWT) is held every Tuesday
at the Moorings on Casey Key in Nokomis. It is in
the first building south of the Albee Road bridge
over and adjacent to the Inland Waterway. - Check with the FSO-MT for time of OWT.

- To start with, you will need a dress uniform
(Tropical Dress Long) for meetings and other
events. - For on-the-water-training (OWT) you will need a
Working Blue uniform. - For winter - Working Blue. Long pants and short
sleeve shirt. - For summer Working Blue. Short pants and a tee
shirt.

Your Initial Training Course

- Attend classes complete the course of
instruction - Take pass the open book examination (Score
75) - Remember, IQ status until you complete the
Boating Skills Seamanship (BSS) course.

- After passing the BSS course, you are ready to
start your training. One of the first courses you
will want to learn is that of Boat Crew. - Keep in mind that with the time required for the
new security requirements, your ID number may
take several months before it is assigned to you.
Until that time you will only be able to go on
patrol as a guest, take land-task training, Study
for Vessel Examiner, etc where ID numbers are not
required. Your mentor will keep you advised. - Each new member will be assigned a mentor for the
first year to help supervise and guide your
training. - Check with your FSO-MT to have a mentor assigned
