Getting started
microBBM displays only the editable lines of a
schedule. Whether you are looking at a new
schedule, with only a blank line, or a schedule
with completed entries, you can bring up the
right-click menu to access the different editing
modules or functions.

Select vehicle(s)
A vehicle that has been selected is highlighted
in blue. In the screen capture below, vehicle 4
was selected.
To highlight a vehicle, click the line-number to
select it. You can also select multiple vehicles.
If they are consecutive, then just click and
drag. Or you can hold down the Ctrl key and
click to select non-consecutive vehicles.
5
Select a cell
Sometimes, you only want to update the content of
a cell. If so, single-click in the cell that you
want to edit. This places the cursor in the cell
and also changes the cell from display- to
edit-mode.
In this example, the cursor was placed in the
Days cell in vehicle 4. Its content is ready to
be edited.
In edit-mode, you can manually edit a cell using
the keyboard or double-click to call up a dialog
window. Different dialog windows are available
for the different entry parameters. The
followings are the dialogs for the Days,
Timeblock and Call-letter entries.
6
Copy a vehicle
Select the vehicle(s) you want to copy. After
they are highlighted, right-click to call up the
menu. From the menu, select Copy.
In this example, vehicles 4 and 5 were selected
for copying.
7
Insert copied row(s)
This function inserts the selected vehicle(s)
below where the cursor is on the schedule. In
this example, copies of vehicles 1,3 and 5 were
inserted below vehicle 4.
Select vehicle 4 by clicking the line number.
Then, right-click to call up the menu and select
Insert copied rows.
Select vehicles 1, 3 and 5. Bring up right-click
menu and click Copy.
Three lines inserted after vehicle 4.
8
Paste
The Insert copied rows function inserts copied
lines below the selected row. Paste, instead,
writes over the existing schedule with the copied
row(s). The replacement will be made starting at
where the cursor is placed on the schedule. The
following example is based on the previous slide.
But instead of Insert, Paste was used.
Select vehicle 4 by clicking the line number.
Then, right-click to call up the menu and select
Paste.
Vehicles 1, 3 and 5 were copied.
Vehicles 1, 3 and 5 were pasted over vehicles 4
and 5 on the original schedule.
9
Insert empty vehicle
This function inserts a blank line to your
schedule. The example below shows how a blank
vehicle (line) was inserted after vehicle 3.
Click on the line number to highlight the line.
Right-click to bring up the menu and select
Insert empty vehicle. The blank vehicle will be
inserted below the highlighted vehicle.
10
Insert empty timeslot
In microBBM, a timeblock is made up of one or
more timeslots. In the screen capture below, the
timeblock for vehicle 3 is made up of three
different timeslots.
An empty timeslot was inserted in vehicle 4.
11
Copy Down
Use this feature to quickly copy the content of
one cell all the way through to the end of that
column.
Select the cell to copy from. Then, right-click
and select Copy down.
Definition of Days from vehicle 1 was copied
down to all subsequent vehicles.
Before Copy down writes over existing content, it
will pop up this alert message and ask for your
confirmation.
12
Other editing functions
  • Select all vehicles a one-click function that
selects all the lines in the schedule
  • Delete vehicle to delete selected line(s) from
    the schedule
  • Delete timeslot to remove a timeslot from a
