Homes and Shelters

• Comaches lived in houses made out out of
  buffalo-hide called teepees. A teepee is built to
  take apart easily.

Lifestyle

• They were hunters. The food they ate the most was
  buffalo. They hunted buffalo by stalking them
  with bows and arrows, or they drove them off
  cliffs. They were warriors, they fought with bows
  and arrows or long spears and used buffalo hide
  shields to protect them. They were nomadic.
  Teepees were built to be easily broken down and
  packed up in an hour.

Clothing

• Woman wore deerskin dresses, and men wore
  buckskin war shirts and breechcloth with
  leggings. They wore moccasins on their feet. In
  winter they wore long robes.

• They lived in most of the High Plains of Texas.
