Force on Community Infrastructure
  • Drafted two new zoning districts to encourage the
    development of mixed-use projects consistent with
    the objectives of the master plan and the
    downtown plan
  • Bringing together public and private partners to
    construct a mixed-use, mixed-income Demonstration
    Project in Jackson Place/Jackson Commons to
    include a mix of residential, retail, retail, a
    park and perhaps a neighborhood school
  • Making recommendations to significantly improve
    the Citys permitting and inspection process
  • Developing an Affordable Dwelling Unit (ADU)
    ordinance that encourages developers to allocate
    a portion of new real estate projects for
    affordable housing, in order to promote
    mixed-use, mixed-income residential communities
  • Developing criteria for the development of a
    local Affordable Housing Trust Fund.
