  • The penny is the smallest coin in money value at
    one cent.
  • The man on our pennies today is Abraham Lincoln,
    our 16th president.
  • Today's penny is made of copper and zinc.

NICKEL
  • The nickel is known as the five-cent coin.
  • A nickel is worth 5 pennies
  • The man on our nickel is Thomas Jefferson, our
    3rd president.
  • Today's nickel is made of nickel and copper.

  • The dime is known as the ten-cent piece.
  • A dime is worth two nickels or
    ten
  • pennies
  • The dime is the smallest and thinnest coin.
  • The man on our dimes is Franklin Roosevelt, our
    32nd president.
  • Today's dime is made of a silver-colored metal.

  • Today's quarters are coated or clad. The
    inner portion is made of pure copper and the
    outer covering is copper mixed with nickel.
