• Senior staff member of a college graded good or
  outstanding who establishes a relationship with
  the leader of a PC to identify specific areas of
  practice to add to QIP and then brokers that
  support from a COPs who has offered that expertise

• Independent Specialist Colleges
• 68 colleges with learners funded by the LSC
• Range for c 20 students to c 200
• Residential and day provision for students with
  complex learning difficulties
• In all c 3,500 students
• Too much satisfactory in the grade profile

Natspec

• The Association of National Specialist Colleges
• Membership organisation board, chief executive
  and regional network
• Liaises on behalf of ISCs with the relevant
  agencies and government bodies

Project plan

• Four visits from QIB to PC between June and
  November 2009
• 1. Getting to know each other. PCs SAR and QIP
• 2. identify key areas of QI. First thoughts
  about brokered support from COPs
• 3. Ensure brokered support in place. Encourage
  process of PC working with COPs
• 4. Sum up effectiveness of the process

Final Report

• Project manager will produce a summative report
  with key findings.

  willingness of COPS to continue offering support
