- SCCL is totally committed to a clean
corruption free administration, which ensures
speedy and efficient service to all the
consumers and shareholders - With this objective SCCL has set up a Vigilance
Department in 1987 as per the guidelines of
Central Vigilance Commission.
5VIGILANCE MEANS
- Vigilance means alertness
- Alertness prevents corruption
- corruption / nepotism / etc., are certain
important ailments plaguing an industry /
company. - Vigilance can play an important role in
preventing the above. - Vigilance is one of the important tools in the
hands of the Management to achieve its desired
goals.

- Corruption / nepotism is perhaps the inherent
character of about 80 public. - 10 public are honest irrespective of the
happiness. - 10 public are dishonest irrespective low
enforcement. - 80 public behave depending on the system. They
are fence sitters. - Vigilance plays an important role in convicting
the culprits and rewarding the honest people.
7- Objectives / Role of Vigilance Department
- To assist management in bringing about and
sustaining - proprietary integrity.
- To make fair, objective and prompt
investigations to plug- - out loopholes and to arrive at the
truth and help - dispense justice.
- To improve systems / procedures.
- To develop intelligence so as to detect cases
of mischief - To make all executives conscious of the
principle that - Vigilance is also a management
function - To interact with Govt. agencies like CBI,
ACB, VE etc. on - Vigilance matters.
