- Adapting student educational needs to meet
varying state/federal requirements. - -MAP (Missouri Assessment Program).

middle school) other incentive concepts.
3- MAP Incentives
- -Students who score a Level 5 Advanced on the
MAP Communication Arts or Math test will be
allowed to be absent three class periods per
class per semester and still be exempt from
taking quarter finals in any class. - -Students who score a Level 4 Proficient on the
MAP Communication Arts or Math test will be
allowed to be absent two class periods per class
per semester and still be exempt from taking
quarter finals in any class.
4- MAP Incentives
- -Students who score a Level 3 Nearing
Proficient on the MAP Communication Arts or Math
test will be allowed to be absent one class
period per class per semester and still be exempt
from taking quarter finals in any class. - -Students who score a Level 5, 4, or 3 will
also be invited to a movie showing during school
on our campus sometime before the end of 2nd
quarter.
5- MAP Incentives

- -Students who score a Level 5 Advanced on the

at Twin Rivers, will be allowed to be absent

on our campus sometime before 2nd quarter ends. - -If any student, who scores Level 5, 4, or 3 on
the MAP Math test taken in April of their 8th
grade year at Twin Rivers and still maintains a
100 attendance for the school year, they will
have their name put in a separate drawing for
prizes during the Attendance Assembly.
9- Alternative Diploma Approach
- -Many school districts due to their MSIP
evaluations and the increased or lack of control
of student dropout rates are in search of new
ways to address their at-risk student population. - -MSIP and the Department of Elementary
Secondary Education do support any alternatives
to help students graduate and to keep students in
school.
10- Twin Rivers R-X Alternative Diploma
- -Any Twin Rivers High School student who meets
the state minimum requirement of (22) credits and
who complete the following criteria may qualify
for our alternative high school diploma - -The student must complete his/her 9th semester
in the location (high school/alternative school)
where he/she attended classes the previous year
and maintain all attendance requirements.
11- Twin Rivers R-X Alternative Diploma
- The student must have been enrolled in the Twin
Rivers R-X School District for at least one year
prior to his/her projected graduation year. - In addition to the state minimum requirement of
(22) credits, the student must also meet one of
the following criteria to qualify for the Twin
Rivers High School State Diploma.
12 Twin Rivers R-X Alternative
Diploma
- Successful passage of the GED test after the
students projected graduation date. - If the student enrolls and successfully completes
(maintaining a C or better in a minimum of (6)
college/university credit hours), one semester of
post-secondary education. - (ie. Three Rivers Community College)
13 Twin Rivers R-X Alternative
Diploma
- If the student has the state minimum required
(22) credits, he/she must come back their 9th
semester and successfully complete (2) classes,
maintaining all attendance requirements and a C
or better in their classes. - If the student has the state minimum required
(22) credits and one extra credit, he/she must
come back their 9th semester and successfully
complete (1) class, maintaining all attendance
requirements and a C or better in the class.
14 Twin Rivers Alternative Diploma
- This Twin Rivers Alternative Diploma will
hopefully, empower our students to succeed in an
ever changing educational world and to better
address dropout concerns with our students not
desiring to return to Twin Rivers High School for
their fifth (5) year. We are very excited about
this concept and continuing to truly leave No
Child Left Behind in their educational endeavors.
15 MAP Elective Credit/Incentives
- Various approaches to giving students elective
credits tied to their Map scores. - Naylor High School gives their students scoring
at levels (3,4, or 5) in all MAP areas (Math,
Science, Communication Arts, and History), ½ unit
of elective credit for a total of 2 possible
units of elective credit during their high school
years.

- Seneca High School gives their students scoring
at levels (4 or 5) in MAP areas (Math and/or
Communication Arts) ½ unit of elective credit for
a total of 1 possible unit of elective credit
during their high school years.
17 MAP Elective Credit/Incentives
- Twin Rivers High School gives their students
scoring at levels (3,4, or 5) in MAP areas (Math
and/or Communication Arts) ½ unit of elective
credit for a total of 1 possible unit of elective
credit during their high school years.
18 Ruth Holloway is SOLD on You
- Twin Rivers High School and Ruth Holloway Realty
are partnering to offer Twin Rivers High School
students an added incentive for MAP achievement.
19 Ruth Holloway is SOLD on You
- Any student who achieves a score of level four or
five on their Communication Arts or Math MAP test
will receive a yard sign from Ruth Holloway to
display in their yard. The sign will read,
SOLD, Ruth Holloway is Sold on Name Great Job
on the MAP test!
20 Ruth Holloway is SOLD on You
- In addition, each student will also receive a
free copy of their yearbook during their senior
year. (valued at approximately 30.00) Ruth
Holloway and Twin Rivers R-X will
split the cost of the yearbook.
21 Blackwell Baldwin/Three Rivers Community
College MAP Partnership
- -Any Missouri high school student who
achieves a MAP (Missouri Assessment Program)
score of level 4 or higher on either their 10th
grade Math or 11th grade Communication Arts test
will qualify for a coupon for 500.00 off the
purchase of any new or used car from Blackwell
Baldwin.
22 Blackwell Baldwin/Three Rivers Community
College MAP Partnership
- -To receive this coupon each participating
school district must submit a letter of
participation/desire to Andy Jay Arbeitman,
Superintendent, Twin Rivers R-X, Hwy 53, PO Box
146, Broseley, MO 63932. - In addition, the participating school
district will provide Blackwell Baldwin a student
listing of their high school students who
achieved a level 4 or higher on either their Math
or Communication Arts MAP test. Complete mailing
addresses must be submitted to Blackwell Baldwin
from each participating high school. The school
district is responsible for gaining proper
parental permission/release of the student
information to Blackwell Baldwin.
23 Blackwell Baldwin/Three Rivers Community
College MAP Partnership
-
- -Blackwell Baldwin will then send each
qualifying student a letter of congratulations
along with the 500.00 coupon. Each coupon will
have a three year expiration period from the date
of issue. Finally, if any qualifying student
also enrolls to attend Three Rivers Community
College and they submit their TRCC student
identification card, Blackwell Baldwin will give
the student an additional 250.00 coupon toward
the purchase of any new or used car from
Blackwell Baldwin.
24 MAP Scholarships!
- Three Rivers Community College , Southeast
Missouri State University and Twin Rivers R-X are
combining to initiate an academic books
scholarship tied to student MAP achievement. - This concept could bring 2 and/or 4 year
colleges/ universities together with public
schools in terms of addressing student
accountability to No Child
Left Behind.
25 MAP Scholarships!
- To qualify for this books scholarship based on
MAP achievement, students must be graduates in
the Three Rivers Community College regional area
or any student from the state of Missouri can
qualify for the Southeast Missouri State
University books scholarship. - Students must apply/enroll in Three Rivers
Community College/Southeast Missouri State
University and follow their normal application
processes.
26 MAP Scholarships!
- Students must have scored at level (4 or 5) on
his/her 10th or 11th grade MAP test in
Communication Arts or Math. - Students can continue this books scholarship each
semester following their initial semester by
maintaining current Three Rivers Community
College/Southeast Missouri State University
scholarship requirements.
27 MAP Scholarships!
- This unique MAP books scholarship concept
initiated by Three Rivers Community College and
Southeast Missouri State University will
hopefully lead to other 2 and/or 4 year colleges/
universities creating similar types of
scholarship offerings based upon student MAP
achievements throughout the state.

with 2 and/or 4 year colleges/universities, and
