    need blood in our life time.
  • Even with all of todays technology, there is no
    substitute for blood.

FDA and other Regulatory Agencies
  • These agencies enforce Current Good Manufacturing
    Practices (CGMP) - regulations we must adhere to.
  • Regulations include SOPs, recordkeeping and other
    requirements that must be followed during all
    manufacturing and testing steps of our process.
  • SQuIPP stands for Safety, Quality, Identity,
    Potency and Purity of our blood products.

Role of the Executive Leader
  • Agree to meet Life Share Goal
  • Appoint senior executive to promote Red Cross
    message and gain blood drive support
  • Communicate with employees and committee members
  • Participate in blood donor recognition events
  • Donate blood if possible
  • Attend blood drive to show support

Role of the Sponsor Executive
  • Form a Recruitment Committee with a
    representative from each department
  • Hold a training meeting for the Recruitment
    Committee
  • Reserve and provide suitable blood drive sites
  • Provide time-off for employees to donate
  • Confirm drives one year in advance
  • Permit Red Cross Speaker/Representative to
    address staff meetings, etc.
  • Encourage one-on-one recruitment

  • Conduct face to face recruitment
  • Serve as a liaison to Red Cross Account Manager
  • Place/post recruitment materials
  • Act as Primary Contact for the day of the drive
