- How to Check History
- For Internet Explorer
- Click on the history button on the top, or click
on "View" - Click "Explorer Bar"
- Click "History".
- Or click the control key and h key together.

- To adjust the number of days in the history
- Click on "View, "Internet Options,
- use the up/down arrow in the history section
- to select the of days.
- To clear history Click on "View" then "Internet
Options" then click on "Clear History" button.

- To create a folder with a title/name in browser,
i.e. Internet Explorer - Click "Favorites"
- Click "Organize"
- Click "Create Folder your title
- Click "Close."
- Download files right click on the link, "Save
Target As" under what title you want to save the
file, click "Save.

- Extensions are not limited to these examples and
any may be chosen

offensive /dangerous email - Report such communication to local law
enforcement

Instant Messenger or IM
- Exchanging messages in real time between two or
more people. -
- Unlike a dial-up system such as the telephone, IM
requires both parties to be logged onto their IM
service at the same time- also know as
chatting. - Buddy Lists AKA Friend or Contact List
- is a list of usernames with instant alerts
available when they log on.

Chat Rooms
- An interactive, online discussion
- (by keyboard) about a specific subject
- that is hosted on the Internet.
- Chatrooms are available from major services such
as AOL, individual websites, and the Internet
Relay Chat (IRC) system, the Nets traditional
computer conferencing. - Everyone sees what everyone else types in,
although two people can break off and have their
own conversation

Email
- Email is not real time and there can
- be a delay of several minutes.
- Messages can be sent even if the recipient
- is not currently online.
- Email is more formal, like writing a letter.
Encourage correct grammar and spelling.

Blogs
- A website that contains dated entries in reverse
order (most recent first) about a particular
topic. - Functioning as an online newsletter, blogs can be
written by one person or a group of contributors.
- Entries contain commentary and links to other
websites and a search facility may be included.
