• Here is your method.
• Put on goggles.
• Collect a small glass beaker.
• Pour 25 cm3 of warm hydrochloric acid into the
  beaker.
• Collect a spatula and a pot of sodium carbonate.
• Add one spatula of sodium carbonate to the acid.
• Stir the mixture until all the solid has
  dissolved.
• Keep adding small amounts of sodium carbonate and
  stirring until no more will dissolve.
• Filter the mixture.
• Pour the liquid into an evaporating basin.
• Put the basin on the windowsill on top of a label
  with your name on.
