Launching Pocket IRIS
  • Pocket IRIS is launched through the Pocket PC
    Start menu
  • Select Start menu and then select Programs
  • Locate and launch (tap) Pocket IRIS icon
  • Once the application is fully installed the
    Pocket IRIS Logon Page will be displayed
  • Note Pocket IRIS requires 15 seconds to install.
    Failure to allow full installation of the
    application may result in an error.

Messages Displayed During Application Loading
  • Periodically during launch of the Pocket IRIS
    application program and data files require
    re-replacement or reloading
  • When this occurs user is required to select Yes
    To All at the prompt
  • Note Pocket IRIS requires 15 seconds to install.
    Failure to allow full installation of the
    application may result in an error.

IRIS Logon IRIS Module Main Page
  • Log On page allows Users to access IRIS
    applications
  • Access requires User to enter the IRIS ID and
    PASSWORD
  • User information may be entered using either the
    virtual keyboard or PDA alpha/numeric keyboard
  • Successful logon allows User access to the IRIS
    Main Page and access Pocket IRIS module suite
  • Identify
  • Schedule
  • Contacts
  • Patients
  • Software version information is displayed for use
    by the system administrator

Logon Errors
  • Incorrect IRIS ID or PASSWORD results in an Error
    Message
  • Drop-down on the Error Message allows user to
  • Re-enter IRIS ID or PASSWORD
  • Logon via the Web
  • Exit

Identify
  • IRIS User information is accessed through a
    search of User Data stored on the device
  • Search may be performed using
  • Name
  • User IRIS ID
  • Matches to search criteria will be listed for
    selection
  • Once a user is selected the following information
    will be displayed
  • Name
  • Contact Information
  • Photograph, if available
  • The IRIS User may be Checked-In to the Schedule
    Page

Check In/Schedule
  • IRIS Users may be scheduled into the Scene using
    the Check In function on the Identify page
  • A List of all Users checked in are available on
    the Schedule page
  • Schedule page provides
  • List of individuals
  • Times the individuals were checked in
  • Ability to track individuals

  • Contacts page provides useful contact information
  • Types of information that may be available
  • Name of organization
  • Telephone numbers
  • E-mail address
  • Web Page address

Patient Tracking
  • Patients that have been triaged can be viewed on
    the Patient Tracking grid.
  • Patients acuity, primary complaint and current
    real-time status are easily visible.
  • Tapping an existing Patient ID will display the
    Patient Details page.
  • New patients can be entered by simply scanning a
    barcode tag. The New Patient page will display.
  • Select the Acuity Level by tapping the Acuity
    control.
  • Tap the Take Picture button to take a picture
    of the patient

Data Updates
  • IRIS database updates are manually performed by
    the User
  • Update process is initiated by selecting the
    Update text (in the lower left hand corner of the
    screen)
  • Update status will be provided
  • At completion user will be provided a summary of
    database changes
  • Note In some instances the system will reload
    all data. Reload may take several minutes.

Launching Wireless Communicator and Establishing
Connectivity
  • The Wireless Communicator Module manages device
    Connectivity
  • Once connected the User is able to
  • Update Pocket IRIS Data and Information
  • Browse the Internet (may be limited due to
    connection speed)
  • E-mail
  • Wireless Communicator is launched through the
    Pocket PC Start menu
  • Locate and launch (tap) Wireless Communicator
    icon
  • Locate Connect icon (Arrow and Globe) the on the
    Wireless Communicator Menu
  • While attempting to establish connectivity a
    status dialog page will be displayed
  • Once connected Internet Explorer will be
    displayed
  • Note Wireless Communicator requires 30 seconds
    to launch. Failure to allow full initialization
    of the application may result in an error.

Connection Status
  • Connection status is provided by the Double Arrow
    icon in the upper right hand display of the
    screen
  • Double Arrows with an X indicates no connection
  • Double Arrows with NO X indicates connection
  • Connection details are available by taping the
    Double Arrow icon

IRIS Problem Reporting
  • Iomedex tracks IRIS and IRIS system related
    problems
  • Customer is requested to report problems as they
    occur using the IRIS Problem Reporting Form.
