course will conduct research projects in a)
Biomolecular structure characterization using
NMR. b) Genome sequencing and gene
annotation. Section B Math Art, Programming,

Dr. Peter Brass (Computational Geometry, Computer
Science, CCNY) Dr. Yuying
Gosser (Bioinformatics, Grove School of
Engineering, CCNY) This interdisciplinary course
will introduce a) Mathematical imagery, geometric
shapes and symmetry, together with classical
examples of visual art. b) two general methods
in programmin based graphic technologies
PostScript and Ray Tracing. Students will
write code to create their individual graphic art
for STEM-themed objects. For the application
