- Continue to utilize Smart MCAS for grades 3, 4,
and 5 for practice with questions on test - Reading Incentive Programs in each school
- Transition to DRA2 in grade three to assess
fluency and provide a written component in place
of an oral summary - Dr. Laflamme will continue meeting with grade 4
teachers aligning the Rubrics with MCAS testing
measures and focusing on vocabulary.

ELA. - Our percentages indicate that many students are
earning a 2 or below on open response questions. - All Dedham Middle School students need to score
12 or more out of 16 points for the four open
response questions.

- A new diagnostic program, Acuity , for
Mathematics has been purchased for the middle
school. - Teachers in grades 6, 7 8 will administer
periodic diagnostic tests through the use of
Acuity . - The program will yield data which will allow us
to target the specific standards in which a
student needs improvement.

with the goal of implementing a secondary version
