  • No schools
  • No medical care
  • No sanitation
  • No drinkable water
  • No security people vulnerable to violence

lives every day.

  • Every 8 months 307,000 women die in
    childbirth
  • Every 3-1/2 months 307,000 people die of
    malaria
  • Every 35 days 307,000 people die of HIV/AIDS
  • Every 10 days 307,000 children under five die
  • Right now 307,000 child soldiers around the
    world, many under the age of 10

development

orphan maintain the right of the lowly and the
destitute. Rescue the weak and the needy deliver
them from the hand of the wicked.

  • Include the MDGs in your weekly prayers.
  • Invite a speaker from the Task Force.
  • Do a Lenten class, book study or film series.
  • Pick a project follow your passion.
  • Organize your community.
  • Go on a mission trip.
  • Listen to the voices around you.
  • Give 0.7 of your congregations budget.
