Vice-Chancellor will sit on all senior academic
appointment panels

  • If vacancy results from a restructure then
    preference given first to qualified existing staff

Clear Policies and Procedures
  • Enterprise Agreement available on the HR
    website. Written in plain English so we no longer
    need to have a translation version.

  • A new Human Resources manager has been appointed
    to oversee Staffing and Policy
  • New HR policy website will be launched in 2007
  • Policies for OSP and outside work available on
    the HR site
  • A working group will be established to develop a
    policy for staff with disabilities

    introduced over the next couple of years for use
    in policies such as OSP

    progress is updated in each report to Council
    also on site

  • A new reward and recognition system is being
    drafted to recognise staff who go the extra
    mile
  • A new performance management system is being
    developed. It will include training for
    supervisors and briefings for staff during 2007.
  • The system is designed to be both a performance
    and a development review. Reviews will occur once
    a year.

  • Plans continue for new projects including the
    hospital, investments, etc
  • BluGlass listed on the ASX on 22nd September at
    20c is currently trading around 41c

  • In 2007 there will be changes to the training
    functions at MQ CPD will focus on Teaching and
    Learning
  • General professional development training will be
    picked up by HR. Plans for new courses.
  • Following a suggestion from a member of staff, a
    secondment program will be launched in 2007 for
    general staff to move between Divisions and
    Offices.
