Class Attendance and Tardiness

• Class attendance is an important part of each
  math lesson.
• Discussions and presentations from class are
  difficult, if not impossible to duplicate on an
  individual basis.
• If tardy to class, students are required to have
  a note from the person who detained them.
  Unexcused tardies will result in detention

Calculators

• Each student will be responsible for bringing
  their own calculators to class everyday.
• Calculators will be allowed on most assignment
  and allow students to concentrate on new concepts
  instead of worrying about calculations.
• Calculators that can perform fraction operations
  are ideal for this class.

What is Accelerated Math

• Accelerated Math is a task-level learning
  information system.
• Using computer software, a scanner, and a printer
  the program promotes math skills and achievement.
• Students complete worksheets and work towards
  mastering individualized objectives assigned to
  them.
• Each student is assigned a quarterly goal of
  mastering a certain amount of objectives.

Accelerated Math Procedures

• Print out Practice/Test/Exercise worksheet
• Show all work on folder paper in pencil
• Fill out scan card
• Scan your card and receive a TOPS report
• Redo all incorrect problems
• Staple together and show it to the teacher
• Teacher will tell you what type of assignment to
  print out next.
