  • Regardless of where you are, if you can access
    the Internet, you can access Webmail.

Accessing Webmail(FOLLOW HANDOUT)
  • Home Page http//www.jefferson.k12.ky.us
  • Click Employees button Using Quick Clicks,
    select Webmail
  • Bookmark or Favorite
  • Webmail address - https//ketsmail.us

Webmail
  • There is a size limit of 45 mb.

How Do I Know When my Folder is Full?
  • You will receive an email message stating that
    you need to free up some space by deleting
    emails.
  • Once you reach a certain limit 35-40 mb. You
    will no longer be able to send email. Once you
    reach the 45 mb, you will no longer be able to
    send or receive email.

  • E-mail sent to held in Frankfort after you reach
    the limit will be held until 60 mb is reached. At
    that point, e-mail is bounced back to the sender
    as undeliverable because your mailbox is full.
  • Once space is freed up in your e-mail folder, the
    held e-mail is cued down

CLEAN OUT YOUR E-MAIL FOLDERS.
  • Delete e-mail from
  • INBOX folder
  • In the Folders column (toolbar to the left)
  • Delete e-mail from
  • DRAFTS folder
  • SENT ITEMS folder
  • JUNK E-MAIL folder
  • DELETED ITEMS folder (Click on the icon Empty
    Deleted Items located in Toolbar)
  • DELETE E-MAIL FROM THE TRASH BY CLICKING THE
    RECYCLING ICON.

What Else Should You Know?
  • If there is a period of inactivity, you will be
    logged off automatically. (No mouse or keyboard
    activity). Be careful. Composed e-mail can be
    lost if you dont save it or send it right away.
  • When you have ended your session, please click on
    the LOG OFF button.
  • All e-mail is saved to a server in Frankfort.
  • The e-mail server is backed up daily. A back up
    is kept for 3 days.
