PURPOSE
The Mojave Desert Ecosystem Program, was
envisioned as a shared scientific database to
facilitate data-driven land management
decisions throughout the Mojave Ecoregion.
The project goal is the development and
implementation of a database to support
collection, storage, transfer, and analysis of
resource data by all federal, state, regional
and local agencies with the responsibility of
natural resource management.
3
OBJECTIVES
  • Create a comprehensive program for long term
  • conservation and use of an irreplaceable and
  • priceless national treasure - the Mojave
    Desert
  • Foster a coordinated, collaborative
    conservation
  • effort among DOD, DOI, State, Local, and
  • private entities
  • Focus limited resources to eliminate
    duplication
  • of effort among all participants
