THIS MAN HAD AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY WITH THE OTHERS
TO PLEASE HIS MASTER. ACTUALLY HE WAS UNDER LESS
RISK. HE WAS ACCOUNTABLE FOR ONLY ONE
TALENT. FEAR IS ONE OF THE MOST PARALYZING
EXPERIENCES. FEAR KEEPS PEOPLE FROM BECOMING
CHIRISTIAN.

• AFRAID TO TRUST GOD (Proverbs 35)
• How do I know God is for me? (John 316)
• I understand He loves me but
• He may ask me to do something I cannot do
  (Philippians 413).
• He may require me to straighten up something I
  cant (2 Corinthians 517).
• I may be deceiving myself or my experience IT
  IS GOD WHO DOES IT!
• I just cannot seem to believe (Ephesians 28-9).
• These show a misconception of God.
• They show the idea God is not reasonable.

• AFRAID OF MYSELF (Psalm 563)
• You may say, Well, who am I I dont have any
  talent Im too weak Im insignificant
• You may say, I may not be able to succeed as
  others do.
• You may be thinking, I may fail if I try -
  others, stronger than I have.
• Inferiority implies shyness, timidity, etc.
  There is no sin to feel these.
• I cant never did anything.

• AFRAID OF OTHER PEOPLE
• What will my friends say if I become a Christian?
• What will relatives think or do?
• What will happen to my friends I may loose
  them.
• People will make it so hard for me I cant do
  it.
• This is the folly of listening to others your
  soul is at stake.

• AFRAID OF RIDICULE
• Fear Ill be laughed at made fun of made joke
  of.
• Ashamed for people to know Im a Christian.
• Dont want to take a public stand why not
  secretly? (Matthew 1032-33).
• Cant stand being teased this is weakness.
• Take courage strong people dont mind what
  others say.
• The Apostle Paul says when he is weak (in flesh),
  then he is strong (in spirit) (2 Cor.1210).

• AFRAID OF CIRCUMSTANCES
• The time is not right There are too many people
  here LATER.
• Not in position to be a Christian Never a
  better opportunity.
• Need to make some things right first God takes
  us as is. Youll never be right enough!
• You dont know my troubles at home, work, etc.
  GOD DOES!
• There are too many things hindering Therell be
  more later GOD IS ABLE!

• AFRAID TO FACE GOD
• Fear of my past record present standing
  future state.
• The man in our text was that way He had never
  proven his master.
• He was a miserable coward.
• He had to face him anyway, and he was unprepared.
• So will we, if we do not face Him now and prepare
  (Philippians 210-11).
• You will ether bow now and call him LORD or you
  will at the judgment.
