The Symbol of the United States Flag
  • The flag consists of thirteen alternating
horizontal stripes, seven red with six white. The
stripes represent the original 13 colonies, and
the white stars represent the 50 states. On the
flag, the color red stands for courage, white

Why I Chose This Topic
  • I chose to research the Lincoln Memorial because
Abraham Lincoln is my favorite president. I
admire the way he stood up for his principles and
freed the slaves. I believe that this Memorial is
well deserved and should stand forever so that
all people will know who this great man was.
