The outside classroom

outside classroom, to enhance their learning
  • Activities are planned using the Year One
curriculum and are linked to the objectives
    inside.

Reading
  • Reading at school
  • Guided reading takes place fortnightly. This is a
    group activity which discreetly teaches
    objectives from the Literacy strategy.
  • Individual reading is weekly. It is an
opportunity for children to practice skills
    acquired during guided reading.
  • Reading skills are taught daily.
